Growing up in a military family, David Leaptrott understands what it means to leave a familiar place behind and find the right community to call home. His childhood took him from Arkansas to England, Virginia to Louisiana, and South Dakota to South Carolina-giving him firsthand insight into the relocation experience.
After earning his bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, and Entrepreneurial Studies from Black Hills State University, David returned to the East Coast to be closer to family and quickly fell in love with the Lowcountry.
Before beginning his real estate career, David spent several years in leadership with Orangetheory Fitness. He helped lead the Charleston studio to become one of the company's largest locations in the country and oversaw the opening of the Summerville studio in 2016. Through that experience, he developed a strong connection to the Summerville community, which he and his family are now proud to call home.
David brings more than 15 years of experience in sales, leadership, business development, and customer service to his work with Realty ONE Group Coastal. His knowledge of the Charleston area, strong work ethic, and client-first approach allow him to meet people wherever they are in their real estate journey. Whether helping a family relocate, guiding a buyer through new construction, or preparing a home for the market, David focuses on clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and a straightforward, no-pressure experience.
Since becoming a REALTOR® in 2021, David has earned the REALTOR® of Distinction award, an achievement recognizing sales performance and a commitment to professional ethics. He has also been recognized as a leading agent for new-home sales in Nexton, an award-winning master-planned community near Charleston.
